about the weekend event
Rev'ved Up 4 Kids charity fundraising weekend, an overwhelming success!!

Once again Edelbrock LLC teamed up with the Center for Learning Unlimited, industry partners, sponsors, volunteers and the local community to knock this years event out of the park! The focus of the weekend was to kick off the celebration of Edelbrock's upcoming 75th anniversary in 2013, and what a celebration it was! All this for such a wonderful cause, supporting complex challenged children and their families in our community. Every dollar goes to the kids! We are still counting and are extremely hopeful that we exceeded our expectations.

The weekend started off with shop tours of Edelbrock's corporate and manufacturing facilities. Vic and Christi Edelbrock greeted participants along with their knowledgeable tour guides. Visitors were guided through the rich history of the company, from the R&D Department, engine dyno room and into the "Toy Barn". Participants had a great view of the R&D vehicles, dyno runs, vintage racecars and much more! Their staff showcased product development from beginning foundry core processes to final machining, cylinder head assembly and quality control.

After the tours, the "Back To Where It All Began" Legends Party at Vic's garage took place. 12 amazing legends from the automotive industry spoke to the sold out crowd, reminiscing intimate stories from the past and present. The crowd was speechless as they listened to George Barris, Andy Brizio, George Follmer, Parnelli Jones, Sam Foose, Ed Iskendarian, Dave McClelland, Ed Pink, Louie Senter, Gene Winfield and Alex Xydias, all hosted by Alan Taylor and Bruce Meyer. A legendary evening that may never experienced again! Edelbrock also launched a national essay contest with their partner Hot Rod Magazine. Both will be celebrating their co-anniversaries in 2013. Brandon Weaver also donated $1000 from The Brandon Gives Back Foundation... we are so blessed!

Sunday's car show was jam packed with over 450 cars, sold out VIP and vendor space! Specialty cars from George Barris and the Batmobile, Gene Winfield, Rich Evans, West Coast Customs, Up Racing, Brandon Weaver, Star Cars, Hot Wheels and more were in attendance. Our partners in the Edelbrock Performance Academy, Ohio Technical College and custom Air brush artist Mike Gold gave kids their first experience with custom air brushing. Von Hot Rod and his pinstriping circus, custom pinstriped Christi Edelbrock's 2011 E-Force Supercharged Camaro! Hot Rodders of Tomorrow were back again for the Region 7 competition. Once again the Loara High School team dominated the field with a record breaking 19 minute round! WOW, this is a competition to watch, you don't want to miss these kids as they compete for over 3 million dollars in scholarships and a trip to SEMA for the Showdown!

"We are so very blessed to have the overwhelming support of so many as we pave the way for America's youth. With our passion, hard work and determination, we have a created an event that has fabulous potential to continue raising money to support children across many venues. Our goal is to continue expanding our focus, further engage our community, sponsors and partners to provide life-changing opportunities for the next generation on a national basis. With your very generous support
